Err you've got that the wrong way round! Cash did some great covers late in his Def American days, that was one.

TIL. I always thought it came from Cash. That's made me sad now as I now think the cover is better than the original :erm:

I think it's a rare example where the covering arist really did make the song his own. I remember when I first heard the Cash version, it took me a while to work out where I knew it from! I think the Cash version has been used a lot in various TV shows so is probably more famous and I guess has made Mr Reznor more money than his own version :)
