£2.09 for 2 packs of "cooking bacon" was actually 9 thick bacon chops. So I served them with canned tomatoes and baked beans.

It's not butter.

From Google AI.

Clover is not butter; it is a spreadable butter alternative or dairy spread. While it contains buttermilk and is designed to taste like butter, its main ingredients are vegetable oils (rapeseed and sustainable palm).

I said it at my own dismay. I just picked it up in Tesco express earlier. There wasn't a huge choice. I didn't want flora buttery , the original flora would have suffice. Having now taken more interest in it my dietician wouldn't approve palm in it :(

Palm oil is found in about 50% of food products now from bread to crisps. Its just another type of vegetable fat/oil.

We don't use much but always go for proper butter.

It's the shortage of cocoa beans to make chocolate, they're not feeding the chickens as much chocolate therefore the eggs are smaller.

hope that helps ;)

Re: What are you eating now?

Inch-thick 35 day aged ribeye steak, steak chips, mushrooms basted in the steak juices, peppercorn sauce, washed down by a lovely bottle of Klinker Brick Marisa Vineyard Old Vine Zinfandel - really went well with the ribeye.

Finished off with some Cognac my son bought me from a local wine & spirits specialist (Wrights Wine & Whisky, Skipton - really recommend it for anyone in the area or just passing through; they have hundreds of different malts whiskies and cognacs, and a very eclectic wine selection) - a large glass of Château Montifaud d'Archiac, V.S.O.P. Fine Petite Champagne…

I’ll sleep well tonight.

I take Vitamin D3 every morning for a few years now, since I realised I likely don't get enough sunlight working shifts and working in a clean room without windows.
