in the second half they are meant to add on 30 seconds for each sub so if both teams make three each then that is three mins so are they saying when they put the board up with 3 mins for the second half as they do alot that without the subs there wouldn't be any stoppage time ?

Your right, its not consistant at all but i thought in yetserdays match the stoppage time was about right if your following the rules properly. The ref was right in playing on until the 95th minute also because there had been a goal in stoppage time, which took up about a minute.

There is a Sub clause in Law 7 which governs this...

It states that if Manchester United are losing or drawing the fourth official will consult with Sir Alex Ferguson over how much additional time there should be. In this case Sir Alex Ferguson's watch will be classified as the official time.

Sorry, but Lawro used to play for Liverpool...if anything he would be biased against utd ;)

Has anyone watched the Gillette Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports? Why do they always put a former player commentating on their former team for? Some of them are not exactly unbiased.

...plus the Villa goalie wasted 30 seconds in the first minute, trying to take a free kick. ;) :D

I know he did, which is why I can't understand why he does it. Anyway, it isn't just United - he does for all of the 'Big 4'

I wouldn't say he wasted it - he was just trying to re-tie his drawstring ;)

So the slip was because he hadn't tied it right? ;)

very unfair....Chelsea get a league 1 team again whilst Arsenal will have to slug it out with Bolton. same as for ManU double prem team....

okay would love to see Forrest win that game...but doubt it.

Looking at that draw, it wouldn't be a massive shock if they meet in the fifth round ;)

West Ham United have tonight completed the signing of Scottish international midfielder Nigel Quashie from West Bromwich Albion for a fee of £1.5million.
I never really rated Quashie................but Curbs knows what he's doing, surely. ;)

I think he's alright, an unspectacular solid performer, a pretty good passer, pretty solid in the tackle and more importantly someone who won't go 'missing', just what we need :tu:
