There's been speculation that BT Showcase will be closing altogether (at least on Freeview).

If it does, I'm not sure if it will be kept for VM only.

Some of the reasons put forward for this speculation are:

- It appears that BT have vacated permanent SD space on one multiplex and taken up temporary HD space on another.

- The mux that they have moved to will close in 2020, when new 5G mobile services will take up some of Freeview's current frequencies.

- From season 2018/19, there is no indication/assurance that they will maintain BT Showcase on Freeview- the Press Release announcing the new Champions League/Europa League deal made no reference to Freeview coverage, and said:

"So, in terms of free coverage, it appears that BT have only undertaken to broadcast 2 live matches- the finals- and the emphasis is on free coverage being on social media. Add to this, that BT appears now to only have temporary capacity on Freeview, then I think it begs the question as to whether BT will be broadcasting BT Showcase on Freeview long after next season".

Radio Times has revealed the following about Sky Cinema Pirates Of The Caribbean:

-Sky Cinema Pirates Of The Caribbean will broadcast from May 26th to May 30th.

-Sky Cinema Pirates Of The Caribbean will use Sky Cinema Hits channels numbers.

The last time you asked you were told that VM doesn't cover the Aberdeen area and that the former Smallworld coverage of Ayrshire (not actually Ayr) is fed from Glasgow, so takes the same services as Glasgow.

For clarity:

Glasgow & Uddingston regions carry STV2 Service ID 10140.
Edinburgh 1 & Falkirk regions carry STV2 Service ID 10151.
Dundee & Perth regions don't carry STV2.

Feel free to ask about Aberdeen again in the next few weeks, but that answer isn't going to change any time soon. :D

STV2 says they are in talks with Virgin Media - but not seen any update since I last ask.

Also any thing happen last night as Total Channel want up by one for about 5mins or so.

Then my box rebooted at about 5.30am.
