Wonder how many time that image has been used to part people and their money... :D

I've just bought a Yale high security door chain/bolt for my new porch.

Poor you. I bet it has to be warranty replaced within a year. I've had about 5 Seagate drive failures in Synology NAS devices over the last six months.

Lol, yea your probably right, I used to steer clear of Seagate but I do have a couple of drives that are old'ish and are still in good health, so with the price and recent experience I thought I would get one.

72 bottles of Budweiser. Random buy as they were on offer for £12 per 24 in Tesco. It was warm outside on the way in and when i saw them i thought "they'll do me through the summer". Now i'm regretting it as i can't even remember the last time i drank Bud or if i even liked it lol.

Until recently every drive i've bought since the days when 250GB were the normal large drives have been Seagate and i never had one fail on me. Just luck of the draw i suppose. Now though i only buy WD, 3TB on one disk is a lot to lose so i'd rather minimize the risk and WD's warranty is excellent if something does go wrong.

That being said, I still haven't had a mech drive fail on me yet but i have had 2 SSD's die in the past 2 years. One OCZ (lol i know) and one Crucial.

6Kg of Miracle Gro plant food at Wilkinsons. They are selling 500gm and 1000gm packs at the same price of £3.

I wouldn't touch Seagate drives with a cattle prod any more, too many failures.

Very nice Weenie. Was it her birthday or just an extra gift?

A wee extra gift. My Mum is 80 and I just thought that I would buy her something for being my rock and best friend. It was more of a thank you Mum for all you have done.

I think that is wonderful, must have been a few joyful tears shed from both of you
