lol, a UK immigrant and this has nothing to do with immigration...
Marty mate, what have you been smoking ? https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2011/01/59.gif
Can you spare some?

Of course he's an immigrant, he's from Egypt and now he's in the UK. Whether he came over on a student visa, or sailed up the Clyde on a banana boat if of no relevance whatsoever.

again you are showing little grasp of the subject ,you said

Quote:

The fact that such a vile individual can be granted UK citizenship, only sanctifies the notion that the whole immigration system here is shambolic and in need of rethinking.
When he entered on a student visa in 1979 the immigration system you are blaming for letting him in didn't exist in the form we know it today and back then he wasn't the vile individual he is now or at least didn't exhibit any extremism then

so please continue

my whole point to you is try doing a bit of research before spouting off about deporting people on banana boats ,i agree that man is a thoroughly unpleasent individual but as far as i am concerend he has been dealt with as i would expect any British citizen to have been dealt with

I always thought they were quite fun (from http://www.boatsdepot.org/boats/types/banana.asp).

Well said!

You know, it occurs to me that if we jailed everyone who spouts vile bigoted drivel there would be one less poster on this forum.

You've misunderstood, I know the situation. I've never implied it was known before he was granted citizenship the vile nature of his character.
Can you not see that the means to revoke one's citizenship as being part of the immigration system ? Who made it set in stone that once a person is granted citizenship that there is no risk of it being revoked?
In my view, there ought to be conditions attached to the granting of citizenship. To give an example, lets say you are granted a driving license.
If you abuse your privilege, then the license is revoked. Simples.
Why should it be different for immigrants? The whole system is in need of a serious rethink.

so if we did manage to revoke his citizenship where would he go ? where would we send him on this banana boat you speak of .
What you fail to realise is that if we as a country accept someone into this country and give them citizenship we also accept the responsibility for them ,yes there are cases of deportation that have been successful but that is because they have somewhere to go

In this thread ? Not in the very slightest. I'll give you time to reflect over your comments and have a serious rethink. If the public could see the comments you've made in defense of the hook cleric, you would risk being lynched at dawn, freedom of speech or not. Your stance really speaks for itself, without help from me or anyone else.

You really do suffer from chronic cranial rectal inversion, don't you? Is it congenital or environmental?

He has never defended the "hook cleric", he has defended the system of laws and rights that the man was dealt with under - the fact that you only see your viewpoint, and cannot consider that there can be any other, says so much about you.

If your cerebral cortex were up to the task at hand, you'd see that I'm criticising the system which he and you defends with such vigor.

lets see now my suggestion would be .....wait till he commits an offence or series of offences arrest him ,try him in court ,then if found guilty throw him in jail for about 7 years ....oh wait we did that silly me :dunce:
