Wow just wow! the funds have since went up.... £892.50 + £95.63 Gift Aid

My son's Just giving page is now getting shut down and I'm finally allowed to post his page on the CF.

https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/steven-brock

If you do decide to click on the link the lovely lady who ran with him is my future Daughter in Law and she was running for another amazing charity and that charity is Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity (formerly Yorkhill Children’s Charity)

My son and his fiancée have decided that they will be doing the run again next year in where my son hopes to raise money for either Marie Curie again or Help for Heroes and his fiancée will once again be raising money for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

This year for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity this wonderful young lady managed to raise £1,480.00 + £182.50 Gift Aid

What are amazing young couple and guess what there mine :D

I'm very lucky to have them both in my life.

We've been waiting on what payrise we were going to get, which has been <2% in recent years.

So you can imagine my suprise to hear its 4% and roughly £1,500 a year more :O.

Thats the Note 8 paid for :D

Well done to them both.

Happy thought is now finished until next Sunday, earned around 10 hours pay today so not all bad. Although slightly tainted by the fact I need to make a trip to Specsavers to get my glasses looked at as I got a face full of bedding which knocked my glasses off and now they feel loose and not even on my face.

If you have another pair to compare them with you might be able to see what's bent and fix it yourself without having to pay anyone. Just a thought.

I no longer have a overdraft, I took the bull by the horns and phoned the bank and said please remove my overdraft. Tbh I would have kept it but with the new charges I just do not think it's worth having.

I must admit it felt great removing it :)

Of course the problem is I no longer have that safety net.

Spending a long weekend in Geneva with my wife.

This is the view from our patio. :)

Mont Blanc in the distance to the right of the Jette d'eau.

Picked up some sliced Scottish black pudding in Lidl this morning. Not Stornoway (the best) but much better IMHO then the Yorkshire stuff.

Just the ticket for tomorrow mornings cooked brekkie.

Taking my Dad out for lunch soon and I'm pleased to say that our relationship is getting better much to my sister's annoyance which I admit is an added bonus for me anyway :)
