Not any more. Telewest used to carry some private channels, but all business TV services were dropped soon after VM was formed.

I'm intrigued as to the reasons channels are kept off the EPG.

STB software streams, VOD streams, EPG data, deleted or yet-to-launch channels, red button channels, channels for other regions, app-specific services, engineering test channels, ...

We'll probably get Atlantic once game of thrones is over. This obsession over this rather strange dungeon and dragons like story but with some skin thrown in utterly surprises me.

Sky are using it to drive subscriptions "omg you can only see game of thrones with sky!!1" and honestly must think this will help them. Little do they know it just pushes people to get the program in other means...

Which is a crying shame for all those who would like a straight forward HD show rather than scouring the internet.

But thats accountants at sky for you little common sense. Once it ends in 2018 i bet atlantic loses a lot of its value and ratings ;) may become cheaper than for Vm

For anyone desperate for Game of Thrones but doesn't have or want Sky Now TV is the perfect option. No need to obtain it for an illegitimate source.

While it may be that the many at Sky have little common sense , it's their business sense that is important and something that they seem to have plenty of.

There are 2 seasons left of Game of thrones as they are only doing 8 seasons. That means 2 years give and take, MB might know when the current SKY deal is up for renewal.

True i completely agree. But I dare say a lot of people are acquiring the show from illegitimate means. Out of VM customers maybe 70-30 are getting it in illegitimate means and 30 from now tv. (i base this on twitter, people i overhear, facebook, forums etc)

I know why sky are doing it ie to push now tv and to push subscription to their own television service but i still honestly believe theyre losing more money than theyre earning with this strategy and it would have made them more by doing a deal with VM

Then why are you wasting your time on here rather than making a mint as a business consultant?

Not everyone who subscribes to Now TV does it to watch GOT. They do it as a supplement to Freeview as an inexpensive way of getting access to the main pay TV channels.

It was a smart move by Sky, and for me personally, a very useful move.

Plus the day after the series ends on Sky Atlantic, the likes of Google Play, Apple, Amazon, BT and TalkTalk offer the box set for sale.

Apparently, Channel 5 have stated:

"We can confirm that Spike is not joining Virgin Media this week. While we would like to make Spike available on this platform, there are no plans to do so for the foreseeable future".

Sounds to me like Viacom want Spike to be on VM, but felt unable to accept the deal offered to them by VM.

Is it possible to get your source's opinion of the feedback Richard has reported?

To be honest I don't watch GOT if I'm honest I probably watch more Showtime content on Atlantic at the moment.

"The Night Of" by HBO which hits Sky Atlantic in the Autmn is being lauded by the press so HBO are more than just a one-hit wonder. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2016/0...ime-obsession/
