It was interesting to see United linked with Charlie Adam today, i wonder if there was any truth in it at all. Looks like hes staying put for now anyway. ---------- Post added at 22:30 ---------- Previous post was at 22:24 ---------- Newcaslte are apparently trying so sign Nzogbia and/or Elmander to replace Carroll. A bit late in the day probably... |

It really is remarkable when you see Ronaldo and Messi's records this season. Ronaldo has 22 goals in 21 league matches Messi has 21 goals in 18 league matches |

SSN reporting Spurs are in for Charlie Adam. LOL!. Typical. Harry has an addiction I tell you.
---------- Post added at 23:09 ---------- Previous post was at 22:59 ---------- Spurs did come in but it's too late apparently. Saved really, I think they did it for the sake of getting a transfer. Another midfielder would have ben insane. |

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
Spurs' approach in the last few days has been interesting to say the least. They've just been biding left, right and centre for many players and embarrassingly been knocked back every time.
Rossi, Adam, Forlan, Aguero, Negredo, Phil Neville. ---------- Post added at 23:46 ---------- Previous post was at 23:19 ---------- Torres interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHlm_Vk5aBQ |

Its like Harry was worried he wasn't centre of attention on transfer deadline day for once and felt he had to do something.

on the lfc.tv home page poor old Kenny looks like he hasn't slept for a week. Marina must have forgotten to pack his leccy razor.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
It has to be said, how funny would it be if Liverpool after spending more than £50m still turn out to be crap :D
I have to say though, Torres to Chelsea worried me slightly. He was never going to be anything much at Liverpool (granted his first season was really good) but in a team like Chelsea and with the potential of Roman's chequebook, I think we might see their resurgence soon. |

You'll be hard pushed to see a better goal from a centre back this season than the one Vidic scored tonight, great strike!

Relived Arsenal managed to come back to win their game. Tense last few moments.

You wonder why they leave transfers so late? I am guessing Brinkmanship on the part of Levy to bring prices down but the figures quoted suggest desperation more than anything. Also you have to consider, as we now see with Carroll, it actually drives the cost up as teams need to be compensated for the loss of a player so soon to the deadline. Bids that might otherwise be accepted will be rejected due to the selling club being unable to replace the player in the time remaining. Whilst it may be a cliché to suggest Harry Redknapp is obsessed with buying players it has to be said the bid for Charlie Adam was beyond reason. It suggests that, having seen all the deadline deals fall though (Forlan, Aguero, and Phil Neville), they decided they had to buy someone, anyone, and went for yet another midfielder they don't need. I was watching Sky Sports and he had phoned up the presenters to tell them the deal had fallen though. What manager does that? It's Bizarre and I wonder what they hoped to achieve... ---------- Post added at 09:00 ---------- Previous post was at 09:00 ---------- Quote:
