That is true, but what I think he was trying to say was that 4K TVs can now be bought at the price you used to have to pay for a bog standard TV. They no longer have to cost thousands.

They might become even cheaper as HDR comes in (the 4k sets without HDR that is).

Partly correct, we are getting at least a new music channel, a new entertainment channel and it looks like a new documentary channel plus possibly two more unknown channels.

jj20x has reported that 4 of the 5 hidden test streams are revealed to be Paramount Network HD, FreeSports, YourTV and Now 80s. Along with an unknown documentary/lifestyle channel assigned EPG number 293.

Yes, free sports does have the occasional programme worth a watch. Will be good to get it on VIrgin, even better if it was in HD

Paramount HD is an interesting one. It's surprising that it didn't launch it in HD on Sky, given its one of Viacom's most prestigious brands. Could this signal the end of MTV Live HD on Virgin?

I was referring to Arthur's post claiming that no one can afford a 4k TV. Most new tv's are 4k now even the cheaper ones. So when buying a new telly you don't have to pay thousands for a 4k set.

jj20x was quite clear when he listed the test channels:

'TSID 24 SID 2406 Internal P - flagged as "Entertainment" and "HD" - EPG slot 187 - identified as Paramount Network (HD)'

JJ20X did reveal last night that "Test W6" has been allocated EPG slot 650, "Test Y1" has been allocated EPG slot 651 and "Test Y4" has been allocated EPG slot 652.

Also if YourTV is set to launch on Channel 218 and Paramount Network was set to launch channel 220. What Entertainment channels will launch on Channels 217 and 219?

We think one of them will be Quest HD

Rugby AM (Who started this rumour) says FreeSports TV will launch on Virgin in "late July".

When launch it will be on Virgin UK Channel 553 (Info thanks to JJ20X).
