My moan is that I have to leave for a job interview soon, and it looks like it is about to absolutely pour down with rain. Luckily, I am getting a taxi there (it is on an industrial estate and buses only run there mornings and evenings) but it is still not the ideal image to project to an interviewer, turning up soaked through.

Take an umbrella?

Well its wise to have one Mark given the inconsistencies of the British weather.

Invest in a fiver to avoid arriving at an interview looking like a drowned cat......

Go on - live dangerously and try something new! ;)

Wear a nice big coat and a hat. Hat is great to keep the rain off your specs.

Booking.com where the word booking is supposed to sound like the swear word.

and the other advert where she says "Go fun yourself" but is supposed to sound like go swear word yourself.

Slot in the pillar box down the road is too small to take my mothers day card. :(

I'll have to yomp up later to the postoffice that has a bigger one.

Turned up for the training this afternoon, only to find that all the promises made are false. Only role is going door to door, getting people interested in getting quotes. So no warehouse work at all, and now I need to work out what happens to my JSA if I decide to reject this position.

Sorry to hear that marc and you were so looking forward to the job that was offered. It makes me mad that people can get others hopes up like this it shouldn't be allowed.

I'm really torn as to what to do. On the one hand, rejecting it would see me sanctioned for up to 3 years and on the other hand it is a chance to gain confidence which is something I am lacking in. Will try and talk to someone tomorrow at the Jobcentre to discuss my options.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8

That is just wrong that you could get sanctioned for up to 3 years because of their false promise as to which you were applying for in the job description it is after all them that made false promises to lure you to apply. Anyway marc I'm wishing you all the best and also wishing you the best of luck in whatever the outcome is. Just one question could you not say the reason you never took the job was because the job you applied for was not the job they offered or as described at the interview stage other words (Not as described) therefore you would never have applied as you went for a job for warehouse operative, not door to door getting people interested in getting quotes it is still classed as sales although potential sales it called cold selling.

If the card is too large you may need a bigger stamp on it.

Being a posh one it actually says on the back of the celophane tht it needs a large letter stamp. That's what it's got, 1st class too so that it gets there in time.
