and if you read it, it says not confirmed.

Frankly, it's all supposition.

I'm willing to look a fool if it comes off but honestly, all this second guessing, it gets a little monotonous.

Anyone at Sky reading this thread must be laughing their socks off.

PS - if this was a proper 'Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3' it would consist of about 4 posts.

ESPN was announced on the 29th of July 2009 and thus then arrived on the 3rd of August so perhaps the same will be announced with BT Sports.

On July 13th I got the following from an Insider:

On July 17th Asian Channel posted that Sky Atlantic and Sky Atlantic HD was set to launch on Virgin Channels 119 and 120.

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...&postcount=491

On July 18th Virgin Media High Definition & TiVo Services blog posted:

http://mediaboyblog.blogspot.co.uk/2...bt-sports.html

So how is that backtracks on confirmations?

I just cant get the Sky Atlantic channels confirmed.

I think the 'backtracking' may refer to your recent post in which you said there were no new channels coming anytime soon, or words to that effect, MB.

Probably a standard tweet they use now until they make a formal announcement

The news I got about BT Sports on July 13th was from an new insider.

VM are not always quiet about launches.

They put those coming screen channel placeholders up. They have done it for a few channels of late. If the BT Sports deal was signed i would expect a channel placeholder to be there.

As for Atlantic, When VM got Sky 1 back and were gearing up for Sky on demand they were quite vocal about that too. If they had a deal for Atlantic to start next week they would be using this to get customers to renew and switch. The longer BT and Atlantic are off VM the more likely they are to have customers switch to Sky or take up the BT broadband offer.

And that news will arrive in the next week in my humble opinion.

It's called a soft launch and is all carefully planned. Whenever anything is announced or launched, some customers will call about it, and some may require tech visits. Staff need to be available to answer those calls and make those visits. By keeping the comms low-key, it spreads the load. You'd soon be complaining if they couldn't cope with the demand.
