Don't feel guilty about any of this. I had similar issues with my old man in the couple of years before he died and had to stand my ground a few times. Even though it felt bad at the time I don't regret it and I don't even blame him. Old folks have all day to think about themselves but don't always appreciate that the rest of us have have far more to do than just look after them.

Drove down to Cornwall yesterday and joy of joys: The road works on the A30 at Temple near Bodmin have opened both carriageways at long last. No more hours stuck in a jam at each end and 40MPH average speed cameras.

Apparently according to the regional news they opened it that day.

Now they're trying to get funding to dual up the last bottle-neck between Chiverton Cross and Blackwater. About 7 miles needed.

I still struggle with mine.

1 week 6am-2.15pm Mon-Thursday, Fri finish at 1pm.

then a week of lates of 2pm-10pm Mon-Thursday, Friday 12:45pm-8.45pm.

Yeah were doing a 9 day fortnight. we did a 39 hour week, now we extend some days, to get every other Friday off so Wk 1 is 43 hours and wk2 is 35.

Note to self, no guilt your entitled to say no and let someone else give there time as at the end of the day both your time is just as precious.

Had the interview on Tuesday with Flame introductions. It went really well and I have had a draft copy of my profile sent to me, but I've requested that one of the photos be changed due to it being quite old. Once this is changed, the profile then goes live and hopefully I'll start getting some dates :)

Apparently work is due to start in 2020. A completely new road rather than adding to the existing one. So relatively little disruption during the work.:)

My eldest son's God parents and life long friends are coming for dinner tonight hubby and I have not seen them since April so it will nice to have catch up. I have asked my eldest and his fiancée to be here even if it is just to show face.

I still laugh at how we met a mutual friend heard that we wanted to sell our mini 1275 GT as I wanted a RS2000 or Ford Mexico and he said that he had a friend who had a RS1800 who was thinking of selling his car for a mini, anyway long story short we met and swapped cars that was the start of our friendship. Hubby still brings the subject up on how I made him get rid of his beloved mini :)

Thanks for the info. :tu: Difficult to see how it could be worse. The existing bit is very twisty and up and down so a new road is the best solution so long as Swampy and his mates don't get dug in.

Looking through my children's baby pictures even if I do say it myself they were rather cute. I have just shown my youngest his Christening gown and he just looked at it and said OK Mum while rolling his eyes :)
