Of course! ;)

You will lose the retention deal if you want to upgrade to 30Mb, well thats what seems to be happening.

Oh well, I am happy that my upload speed is now 2mb, which has made a heap of difference to my PS3!

Looks like we need to nag someone. We are currently paying for L BB at £25.25 per month. The new package is £18.50 (after the first 6 months) for XL BB.

Not allowed to change package on-line either :mis:

How stingy that the non-uplifted areas only get 32.22Mbps down while the uplifted ones get 33.33! ;)

Anyway, yes, good to see peeps on the new service as opposed to complaints about having to pay the list price for it.

Funniest thing is, everyone who wants to get on line at home (upstairs & downstairs) can do at the moment even with the basic wireless hub. So seems pretty pointless paying £30 extra.

BTW our BBL is only 10Mb but has no restrictions up/down. How does this compare to the new L package and if it is cheaper how do we get it?

There is only one BB L which has the same management. Only difference is the price, depending on when you took it out and what service discounts you may/may not have

Re: 20 Mb/s to 30Mb/s free upgrade

The news for the 30mb/s is very much welcomed.

Although I am disappointed in the charge for the superhub...

My position is that i'm at the end of my contract with virgin. Now i would like the 30mb/s currently on the 20meg service but the cost of £30 is something I dont want to pay, probably like alot of the posts I have read on this thread.

To me the cost is understandable but What really is to stop me from cancelling with virgin and then resign up after 38/30 days or whatever the cooling off period is? In actual fact I would save even more money by taking advantage of the new customer offers.

In this example would it not be better to retain me as a customer and offer the superhub free? Virgin would gain more money from me instead of the discounts they offer as a new customer...

There is only one price for XL (30) so you get the same ongoing monthly price for it as everyone else as far as I'm aware.

Ordered my upgrade on the 1st, got the siperhub delivered this morning. Thats what I call rapid service.

One question though...

Where the heck is the "Attached Devices" list? I have a headless mediaserver (no monitor) in my bedroom, and dont fancy lugging a monitor upstairs just to find out what ip the superhub has assigned to it.

Think M is the restricted one which is no longer offered. So now L is the entry level - We have had our BB for nearly 7 years with a change to the telephone package a couple of years ago.
