Re: Changes to Virgin TV (2020)
My friend who has the original TiVo box had a very long installation this morning around 5am. Went on for 30 minutes he said. Do we know what that would have been? May have been a small update and his internet was just slow haha
“Installing software please do not turn off the power” was the message |

Although yes, seeing a bulk load in the Disney section is certainly indicative in the current climate. |

"To view the action in 4K UHD or HDR, customers with a V6 box will need to press the red button on their remote on either Eurosport 1HD (channel 521), Eurosport 2HD (channel 522) or Virgin TV Ultra HD (channel 205 and 999)." So, sounds like everyone can access it too. Will be interesting to see it in 1080p (downscaled) rather than 1080p (upscaled). ;) |

Base on the information on EPG All main Disney channels will close at midnight on September 30th (Wednesday Night) but Disney Channel +1 will not close until 1am. ---------- Post added at 17:11 ---------- Previous post was at 17:08 ---------- Quote:

Maybe nothing but Virgin Media are running ads for Disney+ on Sky on Demand. |

Will Sky UHD and the expanded Sky library start then as well? Nobody knows because I guess they are keeping it a secret for the time being. |
Re: Changes to Virgin TV (2020)
There are no channels on Disney+ - but the programmes may appear to stream.

GB News - who lead investor is Discovery - says "They plan for the channel to reach 96% of British television households via Freeview, Sky and Virgin Media."
GB News is set to launch in 2021. https://www.itv.com/news/2020-09-25/...al-bbc-and-sky |

Here's the Heads Up Channel Closure messages on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior. Virgin promises 1,000s of new episodes, but the selection so far isn't that great :/

Re: Changes to Virgin TV (2020)
Disney+ is not going to be on the VM platform anytime soon as things stand, nothing has come in the office about Disney+ and VM as of yet i will check Monday morning when i'm in work to see if anything shows up.
Talk between us in the office is SKY will launch SKY Kids as a channel on both SKY and VM also Discovery kids has popped up in discussions too, note these are only talks amongst us in the office nothing has actually come through on the systems yet. |
Re: Changes to Virgin TV (2020)
From the VM Disney Channels FAQ here
https://www.virginmedia.com/help/disney-channels What new kids’ content is coming to Virgin Media? Here’s the good news. We’re bringing you 1,000s of new episodes available on demand, including Blippi, Angry Birds and loads more. Go to On Demand > Kids > Virgin TV Kids on your telly box and Virgin TV Go. You can also enjoy great content on the new kids’ app Hopster, including hundreds of episodes of Pocoyo and Pingu. We’ve also recently launched YouTube Kids – a great way for parents and kids to watch, learn and play together. The best part? All of this comes at no extra cost for Fun, Full House and Kids Pick customers. Is the Disney+ app on Virgin Media? The Disney+ app isn’t currently on our TV box. That said, we’re hoping to make this happen in the future, so keep an eye out. ---- Interesting that Hopster is going to be a separate app on VM, it's currently a subsection of the Kids area on STV Player, so maybe STV's deal is expiring or maybe will be limited to other platforms going forward. The STV Hopster selection does seem much smaller than I remember it being. Maybe it's expiring prior to the new deal starting. |
