It is so much more pleasing on the eye than what we currently have (not difficult!) and looks a bit like the BT Vision on demand UI. The red theme is a bit garish though but that was probably a given with VM's branding.

The service is probably not for me but it looks very nice all the same.

All depends on the cost now. Looks nice n' all but I'm not going to pay much more when its still all the same content.

Agree the current EPG software (middleware) is dire and needs to die a painful death. Yes, I like the BT service too. Even the EPGs on cheap Freeview boxes are superior to VM's.

Whether this new VM middleware is better than the old is yet to be proven. It looks nice, yes, despite the red colouring, but how does it work outside of the lab? Can you change a channel quickly or, go and make a cup of tea while waiting for the channel to change, like the current software? The fact this uses flash gives me concerns. I've yet to find anything with flash that I would call quick, but just hope that is not the case this time round.

Actually I'd like it to die a quick and sudden death. A painful death suggests it will take forever for us all to get the new Tivo UI! :p

There's been at least 1 software update for the Premiere which improves performance since then. Again, different hardware to the VM box but something to consider.

I wonder, is there any word about what Internet Content Sources will be available on launch for VM Tivo? If any?

I assume that YouTube will make an appearance, at some point, it certainly has on my Samsung TV and WDTV Live player and other network connected A/V devices.

But what about the likes of Lovefilm? Or any other sources?

Hasn't Spotify already been mentioned, Lovefilm is a nice idea but if the video quality of the PS3/Online content is anything to go by then it like watching a VHS, useless. :td:

everyone is asking for cost , how much im hoping that there not going to charge any extra.
if there is a charge id like to know wot the charge is for, at the end of the day theres nothing extra just something different at doing the same.
