Thank god Arsenal won and Liverpool drew. Now we can have a week of Liverpool are over headlines rather than Arsenal are over headlines. Kind of tired of the lazy analysis from Sports Writers every time a big team doesn't win.

The 4-nil result demonstrated the vast difference in class between United and West Ham. Good result :tu:

Don't think so - but a 4 nil win away from home will always be welcome :D

Anyway, could Manchester's 2nd team be about to do us a favour?!

I thought City played really well, it was a great game to watch. It's not often Lampard doesn't score a penalty...

Didn't expect City to take it but good on them - we're 2 points behind the top spot now :D

Great result for City, really thought a draw was the best we could hope for. Thought it was a pretty entertaining game in which Chelsea started showing there true colours, i.e. petulance and arrogance when things didn`t go there way.
City`s midfield really seemed to have a good grip on the game and Chelsea didn`t look that threatening for most of the match. Just in the period before Lampard missed the penalty did things on the pitch seem to start going a bit Pete Tong, but i suppose most teams which had to change both full backs would take a bit of time to adjust.
De Jong had an excellant game disrupting the Chelsea attacks and even Robinho did his fair share of getting back, sometimes causing a few heart stoppers but mostly ok (wondering if the fact it was Chelsea had anything to do with that?)

Glad we did the other half a favour, hopefully later on in the season when were after that Champions League spot the can return it ;)

All in all a good day for the Manchester clubs...

I'd say both teams are quite similar actually, both clubs have to many players not fit to wear each clubs respective shirts and both may well end the season winning nothing because of it, difference is though it'll only come as a shock to one set of fans.

One team has plenty of either current or respected former internationals. The other isn't. One is 2 points from the top of the league, the other is hovering around the relegation zone. But yes as you say, quite similar.

We'll have to wait until the end of the season, this United team remind me very much of the Liverpool team at the end of the '80's, stale, with plenty of players past it and plenty more not up to it. Oh and FYI the Hammers have 16 current internationals in their squad, is that plenty enough for you?

It'll be hard, not expecting to much activity come January either but then I wouldn't get your hopes up either...

Bayern Munich believe United face a financial crisis and have no money to spend, having offered them Franck Ribery for £60m in the summer and heard nothing back.

It's even worse than that, I offered Utd myself for £3.50 and a packet of fun size mars bars. I heard nothing back also.
