Re: VM Upload Speed Increases
What's the upload speed of M150 meant to be? I think I rrad somewhere once it was 10Mb/s too.

Just look at your config to see what it is. |

Re: VM Upload Speed Increases
My 50mb package has been increased to 5mb upload. Needed to reboot the hub to get it.
Looks like all upload increases have been completed now: https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.ph...mbps-tier.html |

Re: VM Upload Speed Increases
It's less likely to have anything to do with it being a new tier and everything to do with it being a high tier that pushes the limits of the technology. I'm sure you'll get your 50mbit upload at some point, but it almost certainly needs capacity.

Re: VM Upload Speed Increases
Yeah, i dont think we'll see it until 3.1 is rolled out and users are migrated.
|
Re: VM Upload Speed Increases
From what I understand, 3.1 won't really help upload speeds much until a "symmetrical" upgrade is done and that's not happening any time soon. This is why it's expected that a 1Gbps package will probably only have 50mbit upload speeds.

Re: VM Upload Speed Increases
that is not the answer we wanted to hear :bsmack:

Re: VM Upload Speed Increases
So it turns out I'm only half right. 3.1 will help upload speeds a bit, but at best it's still likely to be a 10:1 ratio and I am sure I've read somewhere that 1000/50 is likely to be the launch.
DOCSIS3.1 Full Duplex is what would bring fully symmetrical downloads, but its now known as DOCSIS 4. |
Re: VM Upload Speed Increases
I'll be happy with 10:1. I cant see us getting symmetrical speeds at least for another decade, it requires too much of a mind set and culture change for the isps.

Re: VM Upload Speed Increases
When 3.1 rolls out I'd be amazed if it's for uploads as well, so I'm expecting 3.0 to remain for uploads.
