Re: Home tests 2017

Not strictly test related but I am really chuffed that Lancashire beat Surrey to pip them to 2nd place in the County Championship.

A cynical declaration at 201 for 8 in Surrey’s first innings to deny Lancashire a bowling point as soon as Surrey had secured an extra batting point has cost them dearly.:)

Eng win again, WIndies down and out. So boring the one day game if one side gets on top. Test Matches are best with the chance for both teams to come back from bad positions.

However I fear the Ashes maybe one sided, at least I can watch us losing in glorious HD on BT Sport. Strange they haven't really promoted the series yet, or which commentators they've got. Its less than 2 months away. Will they just be taking Channel 9 coverage with a couple of Muppets in a London studio? I shall only be taking the pictures anyway, and trying to sync with TMS on the radio (not straightforward !). Once mastered I shall no doubt fall asleep ;)

I'll be very surprised if Stokes plays for England again and I can see this episode costing him a great deal of money directly and indirectly. It doesn't look at all good from what I've seen of the CCTV footage but of course that's only part of the evidence so we'll have to wait for the police report and any action they may/may not take to see what any other ramifications may be. I'm sure the Aussies are delighted but hope this episode sends a very clear message to everyone.

l don't think they will not take him to Australia but l think they will pick him again as l remember going back several English players who got into mischief quite a few times but still got picked for England again.
