Re: Cameron lied to get back in (tax credits and hard working people)
Where does the government gets it money from - US, via our taxes etc. Not unless you know where there pot of gold is.
That money can be used for usage in this country. At the end of the day, WE voted for a government to support US. NOT other countries. We have people that are living in poverty, don't have jobs. Cannot afford to live. We have people reduced to tears, such as that woman on Question Time - and she voted Tory. And yet they want to send money to another country - what about US. Please tell me, where they get this money from if its not our Tax money, that's paying it. |
Re: Cameron lied to get back in (tax credits and hard working people)
Well not 100% true or factually accurate.
Yes we pay tax and that goes back into the UK pocket but the UK also gets money from other countries and services that we give and provide to other countries, so and I am sure I have told you this before, as we get funding and help off other countries it is only right and fair that we then give help to other countries. What goes around comes around Arthur. Also more fool her for voting for that bunch of fannies. You still really think that ALL our spending money and funds come from just the money the UK population pays in tax? |
Re: Cameron lied to get back in (tax credits and hard working people)
Stephen, I stand corrected. I didn't know that.
BUT, l still believe that this Tory government should put MORE effort into this country, and helping us. Instead of making us suffer, like we are |

So, it's entirely accurate that the UK taxpayer is paying our foreign aid budget until such a time as our balance of payments is in surplus sufficiently to cover it. ---------- Post added at 22:40 ---------- Previous post was at 22:39 ---------- Quote:

Re: Cameron lied to get back in (tax credits and hard working people)
How does the aid budget (0.7% of its gross national income) compare with other potential revenue sources e.g. fixing the holes in corporate and personal taxation?
I think that given the amount this country has benefited over the years from its colonial past, the UK can have no complaints contributing to developmental aid at 0.7% GNI. We are still behind Sweden, Norway, Luxembourg, Denmark and the United Arab Emirates .. |

This is one article that l had to put on this forum. Cameron is a hypocrite. Complain about services in Oxfordshire - where he lives. Just goes to prove what a fool he is. I bet he doesn't have to worry about security though outside his house. If he makes anymore gaffs, and the same thing will happen to him, that what happened to the Iron Lady (that's my polite word for her) |

I'd like to thank you for a well-thought out reasoned riposte.
I'd like to... ;) |
Re: Cameron lied to get back in (tax credits and hard working people)
The UK gov's approach is akin to a father starving his kids to feed the beggar on the street.

Re: Cameron lied to get back in (tax credits and hard working people)
Or building 1,000's of houses and giving them to foreigners to live in whilst the British homeless who should have had them carry on sleeping on the street.
