The other point being, of course, that I'm not actually paying the VM price listed; though only around a tenner less; which is a little annoying :( :)

Perhaps annoyed was the wrong word. Was just hoping for a bigger discount. You know, what with me being paid by VM to defend them on forums 24 hours a day ;):p::D

I got this offer deal for 1 year with free 1TB HD box with full sky packages with HD too for just £32.87 a month plus £10 sky unlimited fibre broadband up to 76 Meg with unlimited sky talk with line rental. That's prove that virgin media are evil greedy too expensive and still twices price increase in the last 10 months (April 2012 and February 2013)

Of course that is a staff "family and friends" offer and not available to the public. I don't know what VM's "Mates Rates" are but you will need to know to compare like with like.

Well you could technically but that's beside the point. You don't pay BT line rental when you have Sky broadband with a Sky landline.
