Would have liked to see a few of these shows actually. That new Sorkin drama should be quite good.

I can see why Sky would want to keep it exclusive but I can also see the merit behind the channel having more viewers and therefore more ad revenue.

Sky could placate us a little by airing these shows in six or twelve months time on Sky1. Or let them go to a FTA channel after a while. That way they'd still get those people who want see things before anyone else but keep those of us willing to wait happy too.

I think Sky Atlantic is better than Virgin1 was.

Or, you could join Sky, as I suspect then they would want to keep you happy :D

Well thats one thing they did have and l suspect to this day that is one of their biggest regrets in that they decided to sever all ties with TiVo.

You're not exactly right there, dp.

All Sky ever did was provide UK Customer Services for the product.

However, yes, they did indeed completely screw Tivo over when they pulled-out to launch their own, inferior, product.

And the nicest thing about that original Tivo was that it was platform independent and would therefore work with Analogue, DTT, Sky or cable.

How long is VM contract with TiVo ?
Who knows if in the future SKY may sign up to TiVo.
Would I then jump ship. I really don`t know

Sky have no chance of signing up with TiVo as it is a exclusive long term UK partnership deal between Virgin and TiVo.:)
