Long overdue, the concrete monstrosity has been a blight on Brum since the original station was demolished. The second phase ending in 2015 will bring natural daylight into the area of the old concourse.
Shame they can't squeeze more platforms in, but with the possibility the old Curzon Street becoming the HS2 station that would help with some of the chronic over capacity New Street has |

As someone who is pro rail I think we lag way behind and HS2 would be a start the whole line to Scotland needs to be started.
