Yet another example of how your powers of observation never cease to amaze me.

I knew it all along.

Seriously - knew what all along?

There are a number of options, and it may be easier if you state what you knew, rather than people guessing incorrectly.

Its called sarcasm. Only a couple pages back I was stating that Tabak seemed an unlikely candidate for committing such a crime. Ergo, a tongue in cheek "I knew it all along", when in fact I'm a bit surprised by the plea.
As much as I suspected the police must have had evidence they weren't revealing, I was really hoping they had the wrong guy.

Thank you for the clarification.

4 posts about a clearly obvious sarcy remark and yet not one comment on topic. Yes pog I'm a bleedin' psychic and should have told the police, really - what exactly is your contribution to this discussion?

Surprised they didn't accept the plea. The evidence must be pretty damming if they are willing to risk a trial.

The DM's take on this:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...slaughter.html

I wonder (as do so many) what really happened. Could be so many plausible scenarios, difficult to even speculate at this stage. I recall reading that the police stated they didn't believe Joanna was sexually assaulted. So I'm wondering if it was murder made to appear like an opportunistic sexual assault (i.e. naked body) but perhaps the real motive was nothing of the sort. Could be anything from blackmail, feuding neighbors, money or even drugs for all we know. The next developments should be interesting, though we might have quite a wait still ahead.

I ask for some clarification and you fail to provide it.You are the one who wanted me to play guessing games and as a result I'm sarcastic for assuming that you think I'm stupid because I can't play the game and therefore I respond in kind.

I suggest you use less brevity when claiming knowledge so we can all have a clearer picture as to your meaning. After all I'm not a mind reader.

How was I to know that as that's several weeks past and on another page.I'll repeat I'm not a mind reader.

Again I'm not a mind reader anymore than anyone else here.

You really ought to get your forum etiquette sorted out IF you wish to avoid sarcasm being applied to you.

Mind reader? No that's asking a bit much, but a thread reader would be a good start though.

He doesn't fit the profile, but then you can never judge a book...

I truly hope the police have proper evidence to convict, and aren't using this guy as a scapegoat. i.e. all else fails, arrest the neighbor..

Sad world.

Then I posted "I knew it all along".

I see what I did wrong. Next time, before daring to surreptitiously sneak in some humour under the mod-dar, I'll preemptively send smoke signals, IFF and ensure to provide a liberal application of smilies for the less comically astute (or those who've simply forgotten to take their early afternoon's dose of prozac), all just for good measure.

She wasn't found naked.

Ah yes thats right, but she was missing item(s) of clothing which would/could imply she either had been naked or there was a sexual motive.

It was a missing sock....

Helluva implication (by whoever made the implication).

I recall she wasn't dressed for the weather conditions and would've been unlikely to have made it to that location on her own (no coat or boots yet snow covered ground).

The defense will now no doubt be planning to convince the jury that somehow she drove him to murder (hence the manslaughter plea). I hope the character assasination that will no doubt follow doesn't cause any more grief for the family than is absolutely necessary.
