To be honest Zingle I am not trying to defend Virgin Media, I am not a jobs worth I am just saying in general people who complain for no reason just to get credits just annoy me, as a customer you have choice to walk not just complain and complain a company is more likely to act if the customer votes with there feet.

But someone calling after a deal because someone else they know have the same for less does have a good enough reason afaik :)

Am I right in assuming none of you VM staff pay full price for their services ;)

Is that arranged by phoning up and lying about our service to get a lower price, Because if that's not the case whats you problem with staff discount. I get a discount as part of my employment by Virgin Media not because i decided to phone up and use deception to get a lower price ????

You would need management to answer that and I doubt anyone who knows would post such details on an open forum.

I do not have a problem at all with staff discounts. I do not have a problem at all about people trying to get discounts. :)

No offense dude but I do not know where you stand. Often you are posting how crap VM are and then other times you defend them "our service" for example. This forum is littered with people unhappy with VM obviously this is because its a tech support forum and we hear the worst cases.

We have had members here paying for services above the bundle prices because they do not know about bundles we have members who lie and threaten to leave to get a discount and then those who actually want to leave but are offered a good incentive that makes it worth their while staying. I fall into the last category. I called VM wanting to cut off my TV and phone and just leave me with BB. I was offered a cracking deal and I accepted it. I hardly ever use the V+ or V box and the same for my landline so I do not need them so the incentive worked for VM.

We all do it we all try to get the best deal we can if anyone does not then they must be mad or rich like good old Branson ;)

In which case no one here can accuse VM of offering deals at a loss

Zing i don't have a problem with people getting a discount for there service when there service is bad and can be proved. Which part of my post is not clear enough when i say "people lying about there service to get a discount"

If my service is bad i will ruddy well say so just like any other user of the service however i will not phone up and LIE to get a discount There is that clear enough. :)

I didnt Lie to get a discount originally, I had a crappy 6 weeks of service and they knew it.

And then future times the service was poor, that I left once and was asked to come back with a promise things would get better and got a 2nd deal. I gave them a chance then.

And last deal was from me leaving again, and being called.

So not everyone lies to get better deals. To put simple, VM's service to customers is terrible.

They already do, you seen Money Saving Expert recently?

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...html?t=1021885

Sign if any needed that VM retentions continue to need to grow some genitals and seem to struggle with the word 'no' still. A few fibs appear to come into the retention strategy as well.

Its already happened. Someone on this forum complained that Virgin said ok goodbye when they said they would leave instead of being offered a deal.
