I kinda like the idea of James Nesbitt in the role as I like him as an actor neither Tom Ellis or Paterson Joseph do it for me.

It was mentioned in the BBC article that they confirmed the 11th Doctor before christmas.

It was announced long ago that this was to be an anniversary show, I think the 11th Doctor part will have been added on the end or something like that.
