Seems to have been a bit last-minute. Both NTL and Sky websites are still showing Plus schedules for today - 1st Nov.

Flameing steaming i am remove plus and replace it with yet another amaze your friends repeat channel i just knew this digi lark was going to be trouble in the long run these cable companys can control to much in my opinion we are geting more and more like the usa every day :mad: :mad: :mad:

Not sure this has anything whatsoever to do with cablecos. ITV have bought Granada Plus and re-launched it as ITV3, after conning everyone into thinking ITV3 was a NEW channel. It's on Freeview and Sky as well as cable.

That is not true really as this only seems to have happened in the last day or so. Sky sold 49.5% of Granada to ITV so they could get ITV 3 on sky today.

While I totally agree that the loss of Plus is a crying shame (one of the few family pack channels I actually watched, when I had the FP), it's hardly a con ... Plus was a FP channel, ITV3 is now a base pack channel, and if ITV3 carries any of the good stuff from Plus (The Professionals, Man from UNCLE, Department S, etc etc etc) I will be deliriously happy. I do worry though that none of that stuff will be considered mainstream enough for a channel carrying the ITV branding any more, in which case there is now no outlet for those kinds of programmes and I am a very sad bunny indeed.
