Edit: It states here that it's for all OSes.

I tried to install it but now it's sitting in my 'Extensions' list complaining that it's not compatible with my release of Firefox. There are a whole pile of revised releases on that page though, so I can hope for an update reasonably quickly.

Most 0.9+ plugins should work with 1.0PR.
Go to about:config, locate "extensions.disabledObsolete" and change its value to "false".

I changed it to False and restarted Firefox, but it still lists Chatzilla as disabled due to being incompatible. :(

Re: Firefox 0.9

Hmm ok.
The Chatzilla homepage is here:
http://www.hacksrus.com/~ginda/chatzilla/

Because Firefox removes the Mozilla Suite facility to automatically check bookmarks for changes to the page every x minutes I've added it to mine so I'll let you know when the new version is out. :)

There's another version of chatzilla out now.

The install link on that page caused some scary errors about PHP to appear in my browser window.

I've taken a guess and re-set extensions.disabledObsolete back to 'true', now I'm going to have another go at installing Chatzilla.

EDIT

I decided to try the easy route - Tools > Extensions > Check for Updates. It did, it worked, I will have CZ back after I restart firefox. :)

Now I've discovered themes :D

I had no idea you could have so much fun with a browser, mine is now skinned up with the Noia 2.0 Extreme theme:

Firefox is utterly amazing and the more I use it the more I like it.

I'm so, so jealous of your anti-aliased fonts you lucky git.
Maybe it's time to install Mandrake again.

:D

Coming home and looking at the web on my Mac instead of the PC at work is like wiping down a dirty window and seeing what the outside world is really like. I love it.
