Agreed!

That makes you two , possibly the most stupid people to post here , always thought that of Mr K but ....... Given that , what really is the problem with the plan  clearly you need to join the civil service , whom after all would have come up with the plan ( as it always has been)

The Civil Service come up with a plan to implement the Government’s directive, but in this case (and many others), it’s putting lipstick on a pig.

The woman can't open her mouth without making a gaffe. If you really think she is a credible minister perhaps you deserve the honour of being the most stupid person to post here. :D

Just Google "nadine dorries gaffes". It's quite disturbing that people with such a poor grasp of their brief are actually running the country.

I totally agree with you.

Nadine is going to the Lords, Boris' parting gift to all his exs.
So the C4 privatisation is off and the House of Lords will need to extend massively.......

[EXTRACT]

A new Conservative prime minister will have to decide whether they want to push ahead with Channel 4 privatisation. Several Tory leadership candidates on the more centrist end of the spectrum have previously expressed doubt over the sell-off plan, including Jeremy Hunt and Tom Tugendhat.

Neither of whom will be Prime Minister.

Privatisation of Channel 4 is still very much a live issue, but it may no longer be seen as a priority, given all the other things that need to be pushed through between now and the election. Partygate has delayed further the implementation of the Conservative manifesto, so they will have to ramp up the pace now.

'Not a priority' usually means not going to happen.

In a couple of years , if not sooner, they'll be out of office anyway.

Political bods on Radio 4 this morning were saying that the Tories are just beginning to realise what trouble they are in with the electorate and that this is why they have cancelled the third leadership debate. The toxic remarks to each other in the first two are believed to have put the party in a bad light.
