Re: Season 2018/2019

So do Montenegro just get a slap for Racism. A closed doors match. At what point is the idea of complete expulsion from the group and future qualifying groups going to come into play or at the very least an absolute ban on playing at home throughout the qualifying period and a complete ban on away tickets being sold.

Commentator just said Montenegro aren't renowned for being racist after finally acknowledging what was happening. It'd only been going on for 90 minutes...
I'm not sure he realised his first statement might be a terrible gaffe if people noticed.

Edit: they've noticed. Clive is taking a battering on twitter. He was part of a Kickitout speech 3 days ago. Whoops.

l absolutely agree with much of what you say as yes lets see if UEFA can back up their strong words with fitting punishments rather then just talk the talk as for long as l can remember Racism has been a problem.

Yeah l remember good old Clive when he was at the BBC and its nothing personal but l did not rate him then as a commentator then as he tending to say things without thinking and nothing he has done since has changed my mind.

As long as new player recruiting is taken out of Woodward’s hands and he keeps Mike Phelan on board he should be ok. I would still have left it until the season end as first agreed, it’s not as though there was a danger of him being poached.

Yeah if there is anybody they need to get rid of its Woodward but seeing he is the Glazer's servile front man that ain't going to happen.

TBH the stats don’t always tell the full story. Watford had 20 attempts, 8 on target but of those 8 one was the goal from two yards out, DeGea made one fingertip save and the other 6 where easy gathers , soft shots right at him. The other 12 so called attempts where nearly all hopeful punts from miles out that mainly sailed well over the bar.

High sixing

I don't think it's going to be plain sailing for manure from now on either. Seemed like a knee jerk appointment meant to get fans on site rather than an attempt to get utd back on top, he couldn't fail to start with just because the club was in it's backside, goodwill alone would have guaranteed results especially with the fixture opponents inherited

Cracking atmosphere and we outplayed Liverpool in the first half.

Shame we went off the boil in the second.

On a separate note I was rather surprised to see fans of a club who are still supposedly looking for justice, flagrantly ignoring ground safety rules by letting off flares. Somewhat hypocritical

Phenomenonal performance from Newcastle. What a rare statement. Ayoze Perez was unplayable. £2 million buy and seemingly signalling his intention of staying at the club at the end of the game. There's suggestions that a Newcastle takeover could be done before the season is out now that safety is all but secured but regardless its been signalled that Mike Ashley will roll the dice the way he did with McClaren. Either way, back the prize winning Jockey.

I mean what could go wrong in handing a man a job that had simply cut the chain wrapped around the team. :erm:

United have a good team. They need a good leader. Ole is going to need way more than 3 years. He's not going to get that and I think they should've held onto their stance of interim manager. This really shows the abysmal backroom at Man United, panicked into appointing a manager.

Horrible performance, easily one of the worst I've seen from Man United in recent memory.

Ayoze Perez. This is getting silly.

Brighton must be happy that they are safe from relegation now.

One of my non league teams won today and has been relegated. The other lost and is in the play offs. Its a funny old game that can make you sick as a parrot.....

Re: Season 2018/2019

Be a fairly unexpected 3 points. Almiron, Perez and Rondon were running wild in previous weeks. We've lost two of them, one last week and one today. Longstaff out. Lascelles out every other week. Matt Ritchie playing at Left wing back.

I'd liked to have faced Liverpool with at least the front three. Be fairly lucky to start with Perez and Rondon though.

This would about seal it for Cardiff. Two wins needed with results also going their way.

I suspected Ole wouldn't have the balls to drop De Gea, cost them the win today. :(

Well that is the key to being a good manager as one has to be brave enough to drop out of form big players as Sir Alex would have done.

Spurs sadly way off the pace, injuries, suspensions and fatigue all taking there toll. Kind of the Erdivesie to give the whole league the weekend off.

Given the financial disparity I am not sure Spurs are in the position to complain.

I see Arsenal managed to get their game moved forward, and they don’t play until Thursday.;)
The Ajax manager tried to use the same financial argument to justify them getting the weekend off, neglecting to mention that they have spent more than Spurs on new players in the last two seasons.

I reckon Liverpool would pancake Ajax in a final. As last year, Liverpools front three are just silly on their day.

There is a big obstacle in the way before one can think about being in the final.

Could have been 5 or 6 nil at the end, shockingly poor finishing from Mane and Salah looks like costing Liverpool a place in the final. :(

Stunning free kick from Messi.

Spanish expert Guillem Balague summed up the final scoreline which did a complete injustice to Liverpool..
