BBC replaced by TNT Sports as Commonwealth Games live broadcaster.

TNT Sports has been confirmed as live UK broadcast partner for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The subscription channel takes over from the BBC which had been the principal partner since 1954 and provided free-to-air coverage for 18 games in a row.

Yet another sellout.

Yet another sellout.

TNT going from champions league and europa league to the commonwealth games. whats the point? what do they think they've achived by even bidding for the games? people will suddenly subscribe in large numbers for a 10 day third rate sporting event?

completely illogical

A possibility it will be included HBO Max basic ad tier at £5.99 and above

The Winter Olympics in Europe will be and Discovery+ in the UK with the £3.99 entertainment tier aswell.

Currently an offer on (selected?) VM boxes to get Premier Sports for £1pm for two months.

---------- Post added at 10:54 ---------- Previous post was at 10:53 ----------

It seems it is not all Olympic coverage on the £3.99 tier.

So Virgin customers can see the finals without a TNT Sports subscription? Generous offer

So the end of the football season is upon us.

Does anyone know if any football rights will change next year? I believe UCL/Europa/Conference remain with TNT for one final year? After that it'll be paramount and Sky Sports I believe?

But does anyone know about any of the leagues?

French, Italian, Spanish, German etc?? Any changes?

Paramount are in process of acquiring the whole of Warner Bros Discovery which includes operational control of TNT so in all likelihood Champions League will continue on TNT

I guess Sky didn't just intend to only get Europa League and Conference League but were outbid for Champions league in UK ?

La Liga was new 3 year rights deal starting from this year
