My own humble personal opinion is l think we will get BT Sports on the 1st of August because in the unlikely scenario of nothing arriving on that said date then Virgin really don't know their customers very well and the consequences of nothing arriving in my mind would generate considerable ire and unhappiness and l would not want to be in their shoes if this unlikely doomsday scenario was to happen.

I think ESPN actually launched on VM a little while after the channel started broadcasting if I remember rightly. I think VM may regard the first premier league match rather than August 1st as the crucial date

Starting to lose the faith a bit about BT Sport & Sky Atlantic (and other additions rumoured for August), surely we should have heard something official by now... :(

I'm not disagreeing, but just stating what happened with ESPN. Like it or not the EPL is the big draw for the channel

According to the DS Forums, TCM +1 will be BARB reporting from 13th August, so looks like a replacement.

So at least one new channel on Virgin over the next few weeks :D

TCM2 has more or less been a TCM+1 channel for a while now

it's all getting a bit same old, same old. I suspect that some of the sources providing the info are just giving out specualtion and rumour to generate stories and interest.

Couldn't this prolonged announcement be a good sign that BT Sport is going to be on the XL package? If it was going to be a subscription then surely VM would have announced it by now. Just a thought.

Also, I know this was different circumstances but ESPN was announced on VM only around 3 days before the channel launched back in 2009.
