Give Joe Bloggs a top film or a footie match and he'll be happy as that's what he subscribes for.

Make it easier to find such content and at a time he wants to watch by all means but gimmicks like apps ain't going to sell subs in my opinion. Not a chance.

Are you sure about that.

YouTube on the tv is really handy. Especially for music videos or movie trailers :)

With these apps and more in the pipeline watching the tv is changing quicker then people think, apps will be on every tv within 5 to 10 years.

Without knowing what they are you can not say that, till now the boxes powering interactive TV have been low powered and have struggled to display a decent resolution. There is a lot that can be done with apps for a TV and they haven't even scratched the surface yet.

Just wait till Apple get round to launch Web Apps for Apple TV everyone will be on it then and we will finally see developers making use of a big screen and limited input method.

Apps on tv are just in the infant stage at the moment but they will soon multiply.

Personally denphone i think vm are concentrating on TiVo at the moment and getting Red Button settled in, apart from sky arts HD i suspect it may be a little while before any new channels, and vm will possibly concentrate more on streaming content just my opinion though.

It's like the news desk saying let's go over to the sports desk for the football results when there's no games on! Absolutely pointless:rolleyes:
