And if the team started playing the way the fans think then they might as well give up all together ...

Mind you all fans forums are ever so good at football managment that I'm suprised that all the premiership doesn't sack thier entire coaching/managment staff and let the forum's take over :D ;)

I don't mind winning it but I don't especially care. If we won a cup with our youth team then it would be awesome, but for our first team my wishes are:

Champions League
Premiership
FA Cup
Carling Cup.

I would rather get to the Semis of the Champions League, Finish 2 in the normal league more than I would winning the Carling Cup. Every team who plays in the Champions League doesn't play their strongest team for the Carling Cup do they? Ensuring a top 4 finish is more important than the Carling Cup.

Spurs, or at least Redknapp, said pretty much the same thing.

All the clubs you have mentioned (United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs) have all won at least one trophy in the last 5 years though ;)

Wenger seemed to be pretty annoyed about being knocked out and he didn't hide it very well as usual - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...up/8392135.stm

He knew he was very likely we would be knocked out. I think he just hates Mark Hughes.

As for the 5 year thing, the Carling Cup is not silverware which will ease that pain.

He certainly looked like he was up past his bed time.

Or maybe Wenger didn't see him :D

Devalued sadly like the Europa league or what ever they call it, I liked the old UEFA cup and Cup Winners cup competitions, well worth winning.

Good on Man City's full team for beating our Kids!

\also beat our full team earlier in the season

Looks like we're signing yet another kid in January too, there's a story on sky sports about some 17 year old Brazilian called Zezinho.

So because the arsenal manager doesn't think that the league cup is worth while and fielded a 'B' team it's now Man City's fault?? Well it doesn't quite match as to how peeved off he was when he stormed off down the tunnel after 9- minutes

I didn't say it was Man City's fault? I just don't think it's surprising for Man City's full team to beat our kids and tbh it wasn't exactly a hard game for them either.

And i think the whole not shaking Hughes' hand thing has been blown up, fair enough it's a sign of respect to do so but Mark Hughes was standing out of his technical area at one point f'ing and blindin' at Wenger. I'll admit Wenger is never very gracious in defeat but Mark Hughes is a bit of an arrogant so and so.

Look. Man City deserved to win and ultimately the decision on if to play a strong team was Wenger responsibility. Hughes had no cause nor expectation to play a weak team. So no one can take anything away from them.

It is worth noting that Arsenal did not play the first team though. Sport reporters are talking about a crisis developing, 3 games without a win, Man City showing they are stronger than Arsenal etc etc. Which is what is not fair. The game was not a good indication of Arsenal or Man City in the long run. People should look at it probably instead of pull the god dam dramatics again.

Portsmouth have confirmed some of their players have not received their November salaries, the second time this season they have not been paid on time.

LOL! Why oh Why did Grant take over this doomed team?

More love between Egypt and Algeria.

Quote:

Cairo, 1 Dec. (AKI) - An Egyptian village called al-Jaza'ir, which means Algeria in Arabic, has decided to change its name after recent clashes between the two countries in an elimination match for the 2010 World Cup in November.

Egypt was eliminated from advancing to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa after Algeria's win in the Sudanese capital Khartoum.

Residents of the village located in the Wadi al-Jadid district, in southwest Egypt, have asked local authorities to rename the village Mubarak al-misriyin in honour of the Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak. The name means 'Mubarak for Egyptians'.
