BBC to show Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland matches live

Quote:

The BBC will show all World Cup qualifiers for the men's teams of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland live.

A new deal signed with Uefa means that 41 live matches will be shown.

The deal also includes friendlies and Scotland's Nations League play-off with Greece later this month.

Good outcome for ITV as it gets all the England matches.

The only downside is the poor commentating on ITV. It was really shown up last Saturday.... Miles Whatever the name is dithering on through the Ireland France game missing referee calls.... Compared to the eloquence of Andrew Cotter in the Scotland Wales match on BBC
At least the tournament is still FTA

Absolutely as the Six Nations would have made a great mistake selling out to Pay TV in my humble view.

Andrew Cotter is good, but he's not a patch on Nick Mullins who ITV use for all England games, and covers club games for TNT week-in-week-out.

Miles Harrison is usually pretty good and at least a match for Andrew. Mr Cotter has been known to get some big calls wrong himself... Nick Mullins & Ali Eykyn (TNT co-leads) seem to have a knack with these things.

VirginMedia currently have an offer for the three Premier Sports services on VirginMedia.
They are available for £10pm for three months then revert to the regular price of £15.99.
Details found when I pressed 'OK' at the upgrade prompt - but CS can apply offer too.

Still overpriced for what content they have.

Their overall production comes across as not upto the same standards as either TNT or Sky.

The offer will get a few Premiership supporters through the European knockout stages a bit cheaper than would otherwise, I may have otherwise waited to see how far my team got - but I'll still be giving 30days notice a month before the finals weekend.

While true, I dont think the rebrand is actually relevant to the losses.
