The angle of it to the referee is literally perfect though so from the ref's eyes it actually looks like the defender hacks him down.

Very true, I was thinking more about the actual dive when seen from the first angle than the decision TBH.

His comments afterwards are classic, “I played with vividness”

Doing a bit of googling I came up with this:-
