It reminds me of when people thought we were booing Van Nistelrooy when he scored, when we were actually shouting Ruuuuud :D

Not so Funny though. Would rather than them seeded, and thus we won't draw them on Friday. If they fire their manager and get someone good in then they are a good, dangerous team.

Yeah, but France are replaced by Holland, who are #3 in the FIFA rankings (France are 7) and qualified without dropping a single point. Under the previous system (based more heavily on past World Cup results), Holland would not have been seeded as they didn't make it to the 2002 WC. Who would you rather face: France or Holland (remember how Holland demolished both Italy and France at the European Cup)?

Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron had some fun at FIFA's expense during a trial run for Friday's World Cup draw when she 'drew' Ireland.

I reckon City will take it. United are unlikely to field a strong side while City will be up for any kind of silverware they can get their hands on.

I reakon the same, although it's worth noting City are not in Europe. If either United or Arsenal didn't have the Champions League they might field stronger teams (although Wenger seems pretty insistent on using it to test his youngsters in 'real' games).

Still. United will use a weaker team again, I reckon City vs Villa Final.

I think that's feasible, although I won't complain if United take the cup :D

And good to see Wenger still aiming for the 5 year point since the last trophy :D

The Carling Cup won't deflect the criticism he will get if he finishes with out a trophy at the end of this season. If he played his first team he would have been accused of desperation anyway, might as well keep to the tradition he keeps too in this Cup.

The press have been complaining about Arsenal again but this result was expected and fair. It's not a crisis for our 2nd string team to lose to the Man City first team. Other results have been unlucky but they were away to Sunderland (who almost won at United and beat Liverpool) and Chelsea (who are going to win the league) and it's not as if we were shown up in the Chelsea game in manor we were last season against United.

We're still having a good season. Especially considering everyone had written us off at the start of the season as no longer top 4 side (which was a stupid statement from Journalists who seem not to know anything about football).

Arsenal don't want to win the Carling Cup, a good contingent of their fans think its beneath them. There's a thread on Arsenal Mania about it.

Despite 7 top-4 finalists in the last 5 years they think its something for no-hopers not a 'respectable' top-4 team.
