Sky Sports are set to snap up UK TV rights

DAZN secured a 5-year deal for the IPL’s international rights in the UK, USA, Middle East & North Africa last year, but are in talks over exiting the contract following a dispute with the Indian rights holders (Viacom18).

As long as its not on the Sports channels. It never was a sport, just scripted 'entertainment ' for the gullible.

It is only the UK that insists it is a sport - although there is an interesting documentary about how it changed from a true sport the the entertainment package it is today.

WWE make it very clear it is choreographed entertainment.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

Has anyone else noticed a small white rectangle appearing in the bottom right hand corner when first switching to a Sky sports/BT/TNT sports channel from something like BBC channel 101?

It says 'Notification' in the box with a small symbol that could be the navigation buttons on the remote.

It has only started showing in last few days and pressing any part of the navigation controls has no effect. If I then switch back to channel 101 it stays on the screen but if I switch the V6 box off then back on it disappears and doesn't come back again.

It only appears on first switch on in the morning and is in the place where you normally see the small inverted teardrop when at home or the beer glass when viewing Sky Sports etc in a club or pub.

I had that and thought it was from the V6. Turns out it was from the smart TV about a function that was going to be unsupported shortly.

Interesting, I will have to see if using the TV remote has any effect in the morning, rarely use that remote as TV volume etc is through my surround sound system. When this box is displayed the teardrop/beer glass symbols are not showing though.
