Was the 'export recording' feature (think its $30 on TiVo's site) mentioned? Would be a shame if it wasn't included but I imagine content providers would be happier without it.

Universal HD confrimed talks with Virgin Media.

I have seen info that says Universal are currently in negotiation with Virgin about getting Universal HD on their platform.

Do you think it could come on December the 1st with the On Demand service of NBC Universal?

No deal has been signed with Virgin yet.

The broadcaster also told me ''we hope that in time Virgin will also start to carry Universal HD.''

Oddly enough, I find that when my wife puts subtitles on because she can't hear or can't understand the accents (I'm way more hip with the Californian jive or even the stuff they come out with in New Tricks), I lose the plot trying to follow the on-screen dialogue because I can't tune into the sound. You know that your senses adapt so that your hearing improves shortly after you turn the lights out at night but that's when you hear the scary things! So it's the same thing in reverse: processing subtitles takes away from the text processing and sound processing part of the brain at the same time!

Sorry does that mean Universal WILL launch at the same time as with Sky but HD version may follow?

Would it be possible to post which channels Virgin are still in talks for?

Here is that email I have seen from Universal in full (Thanks to an Virgin Media viewer):

time Virgin will also start to carry Universal HD.
