thanks, is that just 1 box though ?

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

Triple XL doesn't include Talk International, Talk Mobile or the second STB

You also have to pay higher install fees for HD boxes

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

Since July 2009, I have had Broadband package: XXL (50Mbps) plus Phone L for £43.74 pm but Sky currently provide my Television (6 packs, HD, Movies & Sport).

I have been trying to find out the cost of upgrading to the VIP 50 Bundle as I understand that it should provide me with a similar television package. I have tried looking online to find out the cost of upgrading to this package but haven't been able to find an upgrade path for existing customers (only new customers).

I sent a message to customer services last Sunday (via the "contact us" link on the website) as I want to work out the figures and make a decision about moving from Sky before talking to sales. I haven’t had my "response within 48 hours" but maybe there are some changes going on – can anyone on here help with this information:

1. Is VIP 50 is an option that is available to me?
2. If so, how do I go about upgrading (no option on the website as far as I can see)?
3. How much would it cost to upgrade, e.g. monthly payment, set-up and activation fees?
4. What is within the VIP 50 bundle (What is here http://shop.virginmedia.com/bundles/...e-package.html but with a non-new customer price?)

Thanks in advance.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

1) Should be
2) Best option would be to go through Customer Services
3) Depends what you are paying, but the total cost of VIP will £100.55 a month. Install would be £40 (although there are sometimes offers on that)
4) Whether you qualify for the 6 month offer is the only thing you would need to get clarified. Ongoing monthly price for VIP 50 is the same for everyone

Thanks Ben.

Just one more question about contacting Customer Services.

Which is the best/easiest way of contacting them:

1. Via "contact us" link
2. Telephone 0845 650 4545
3. Telephone 0800 052 9886 (Just got a flyer through the door with this number)

Thanks

If not use the 0800 number so it's free (from a landline at least).

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

Query for Ben probably.

My package is VIP20
I just installed my VHD box in my study that my daughter had. She did not have it activated for HD.

It was my understanding that the VIP bundle included free activation for both my v+ box and my VHD boxes. I just phoned CS and they were adamant that though I could have both boxes I had to pay an additional £49 to have the second box activated. Was the girl in CS correct? - if she was wrong how do I get this sorted?

BenMcr 03-03-2011 12:34

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

No she's not correct. You should be able to get it activated without any further cost.

As with anything, if you don't get the resolution you should, ask to have the call esclated until you do
