Totally agree, dealing with a smarmy salesperson face to face (in a showroom full of prospective customers) is definitely the way to go.

We had a couple of 'issues' when buying our car, after listening to inane bullcrap excuses for 5 minutes I (very) loudly said to the wife "come on let's go somewhere else, these people just make promises they have no intention of keeping. I like the car but won't deal with liars"

whoooosh, very quickly escorted into the managers office where the 'issues' were dealt with to my satisfaction.

We were looked after at Wakefield by a lad named Louis. The car had warranty services included and aftercare communication. They transferred everything over to a dealer closer to my aunty in Brighton where she was looked after although a change of wiper blades made my eyes pop out. £80  before she traded in they advised to change one tyre. The salesman at Worthing said you'd be better off changing all 4 so they are equal lol long story short he then knocked the cost of tyres off her new purchase.

At Wakefield was a finance employee with a fat round arse. Very pretty. :romance:

You'd be amazed how tricky some are to figure out, its like they design them to be complex puzzles.

When you're nearly 70, and recently had to sort out the aftermath of an aged relative's passing, you might think differently... ;)

We don't want our kids (in their 30s now, but still our "kids") to have to go through what we did.

And, which is the main reason I bought that book, is she does it in a humorous way...

The problem with being perpetually miserable is that it becomes a recursive feedback loop.

I have recently watched lots of funny TV programs and films, so I would beg to differ with your proposition…

. . and you have every right to, but I find humour - the laugh out loud sort - sadly lacking in anything produced over the last <insert number of choice> years.

. . . and don't get me started on everything, everything, now has the common trend of being over the top with morals, goodness & light, and (excuse the word) wokeness.

it's just stale regurgitated political correctness padding out a 15 minute story into a 90 minute film :dozey:

Sometimes the 'eye of the beholder' sees things that others don't see, the bits that are missing, (possibly because others have a 'mote' in their eye), in which case the beautiful thing isn't quite as beautiful . . to him ;)

No, being different and diverse in our likes/dislikes is what makes life/discussions interesting.

Moaning about lots of different things, and rarely being positive about anything - that’s what makes you miserable… :p:

in 1999 there was only pay as you go dial up as far as I was aware. By the end of the year I had moved my BT line which I still had to a company called Screaming.net that had inclusive net for 2 hours before you were kicked. It was still dial up

I remember Freeserve I think it was 1p a minute and then I got on a BTinternet dialup for £10 a month which saved me a fortune and the phone line was permanently engaged back in 1999 when I was at home with me playing Quake2.

I then got 600K Cambridge Broadband around 2000.

I bought 4 pillows from Temu "Hotel Quality Side Sleeper Bounce Back Bed Pillow, Premium Filled Soft & Supportive Sleeping Pillow, Plush Comfort Pillow for Bedroom, Neck & Shoulder Support".

They can be crushed totally flat between 2 palms, fingers outstretched, with almost no effort. So definitely not "side sleep" compatible.

I complained and was reimbursed 100% with no quibbles within seconds.

Now I just have to find ones that are as they say.

I think that fact is you bought them from Temu for a few £s is your problem, you will be far better off buying branded ones on Amazon.
