Gary Neville is spot on. Its now time for Arsenal to invest big.

Wenger can be given 100m and a very healthy wage budget to work with.

Bale is gone. Levy will hold back some of the transfer money.

I think that Mariner was a disgrace to his profession. We had two blatant penalties, and the booking on Bale was sick. The linesman should have seen that he was being pulled down by the Sunderland player.

Am l a bitter fan, yes, it appears Arsenal have not worn any silverware for years and yet the board always stand by whinger Wenger.

I can now see Walcott going - but l can assure you that Levy, will NOT sell him.

He will offer Bale a whopiing £170.000 per week to stay - and l think he will accept it.

Bale is a home grown boy and will not want to leave Tottenham.

Whatever. Go waste your negative energy on someone else. Arsenal finished above Spurs and that's that. What you think might have happened in a alternate universe is of no matter to us. If Spurs hadn't blown a 7 point led they would be ahead of us, but they did.

Think the main problem for Spurs is they have 5 or 6 first team players that aren't very good. I mean Huddlestone c'mon really?

Yes, its sweet to beat your rivals, but at the end of the day they finished 4th. They've done well towards the end of the season and the teams above them are expected to be above them, so they have a right to be happy, but its still 4th, they celebrated as if they won a major competition. I don't think the United players celebrated as much when they won the league.

We can pretend the football world hasn't moved on but we know why top four is important. Look how dejected Spurs were and how happy they were then they got fourth a few years ago. After the season they were happy to confirm fourth.

Look at the picture of them in the dressing room, the only thing missing is a trophy from the look of those celebrations, but of course there isn't one and there hasn't been for a while. For Arsenal 4th should be the minimum expectation in my opinion.

Why? Football is relative. If you were an Arsenal supporter you would have different expectations than you do as a United fan. Arsenal had a torrid season, again, and that couldn't be addressed when we were adrift in midtable or 7 points behind Spurs. Spurs didn't collapse either, yet we went on a very good run to get fourth. So the players and fans are happy. It was wafer thin for weeks now, you're seeing relief at play.

We all want more than forth at the start of the season but there you go. This summer needs to see investment to ensure we're not here again and we have an advantage in that we have no big player to leave as we did the last two years.

Also when we say trophy all that really matters for a top club in the CL or the Premiership. I would rather be in the Champions League than win the FA Cup (as much as I do want to win the FA Cup).

The original reporters from the Standard are very well connected with Spurs. So I would lean towards this being pretty much true.

that would be something but again I just cant see it happening, the clubs that are in for him, I mean Zidane is on his case.If it is true and Adebayor finds out you know he'll stop functioning, 'I don't feel loved anymore :('

Wenger needs to bring in new faces at The Emirates, Walcott is not the player everyone thinks he is, Bale is out of this world, l just hope and pray that we will qualify for the CL, and that Levy digs into his pocket and signs Bale on a long term contract worth a lot of money.

Bale is a great player and l personally don't think he will go abroad, he prefers his beloved Wales too much.

Arsenal WE are now Londons top team.

How did that work out for you then arthur? Not even the top team in North London let alone London. :disturbd:

AST (Arsenal Supporter Trust) meeting happening right now. I said theres 100m and its been confirmed Arsenal can spend that much, be bold! Its up to Arsene but equally he needs someone at board level to tell him to bloody sign players! I really do miss David Dein. 'Apparently' the Mata deal fell through because Arsene was peeing about, nothing to do with '1 in 1 out'. The Sahin deal feel through because Wenger had doubts of his pace.

Bottom line. Arsenal now have money to spend. No excuses. Since 2007 Arsenal have banked over 100 million. New renewals cover costs to really kick on.

:cleader: used to go down to Old Trafford in the late 60,s to see Best, Law & Charlton in their prime. I have been self employed for over 35 years now, working virtually every Saturday so visiting the theatre of dreams was not possible.

As I had a significant birthday last November I am now 'semi retired' ( only working five days a week) no more Saturdays.

I have just purchased a season ticket for next season at Old Trafford as a present to myself.
