Which would cost 3 times more if I take into account ticket and travel costs! And that's not included a pint and something to eat.

Yes, it is far more costly to attend matches especially if you have quite a distance to go to get there, and the obvious cost of your match ticket etc etc.

TNT Sports have signed a multi-year deal to show 20 matches a season from the Allianz Premiership Women's Rugby.

The deal will see them show one match each weekend starting 18th, along with both semi-finals and the final

That's interesting. I wonder if it's because DAZN is not reaching promised viewing figures?

Also makes me wonder if DAZN won't go head-to-head with TNT on Premier League rights.

DAZN won’t be in the bidding at all. ;)

The good news for streaming fans is they will be bidding.

The bad news for streaming fans is this sounds they'll be bidding farewell. :)

DAZN like many before them was built on poor financial foundations.

I wonder who gave this information to the Telegraph?
Quote:

Amazon Prime 'explore bidding' for an expanded package of live rights to Premier League matches... with the streaming service 'encouraged by the long-term certainty' of a four-year deal

Amazon currently pay around £90m to show 60 matches over a three-year deal
Doubts were raised if Amazon would bid for an expensive expanded package

According to The Telegraph, Amazon maintain an interest in bidding for at least one of the five packages of matches available.

Amazon are reportedly exploring a bid after being encouraged by the long-term security of a longer-term deal, offering more certainty over production investment.

The Premier League has offered companies a four-year deal for the first time from 2025, a 12-month increase on previous three-year cycles.

The move is expected to prove popular with broadcasters, with existing rights holders Sky Sports and TNT Sport both eager to buy more matches.

Amazon would be expected to bid for the cheaper of the five new packages should they decide to enter the auction.

Mail Sport reported last month that Amazon could face competition from fellow streaming service DAZN.

DAZN are understood to view the expanded Amazon pack as more attainable than the primetime Saturday and Sunday packages, which are expected to be retained by Sky Sports and TNT Sport.

The expanded fifth package of games is expected to include several complete midweek rounds, as well as Sunday matches featuring clubs involved in the Europa League.

All the stench of a Scudamore special. (I know he's not there any more - the last auction that actually happened cost him his job)
