Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
NBC Sports don't even have any regular channels in the US anymore. Most of the stuff moved to Peacock or is stream via their apps.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
NBCSN shut down on 31st December 2021 with Sports moving elsewhere including to USA Network and Peacock.
It's been driving the growth of Peacock , although it might partly why Peacock continues to lose money. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/07/27/nbcu...th-sports.html |

Until they fix the lag that can be more than 30 seconds at times, then I wouldn't subscribe to streaming for live football.

Also I have just found out that "I" newspaper has been own by Daily Mail since 2019 - so it may turn out to be a copy from the Times after all. |

You may not have a choice - in the US nearly all live sport is now streaming services.

Most Premier League Matches seem be shown only on Peacock , with select premier league matches shown on NBC and USA Network.
At the end of last season some Premier League matches were shown on Syfy, CNBC and Bravo. |

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
They showed a selection of games across the NBC owned channels on the last day of the season.
At 3pm on a Saturday one game is on a regular channel (usually NBC) and the rest are streaming on Peacock. They usually have a game from each time slot on a regular channel - but as there are no sports channels anymore with NBC they tend to be on NBC or USA Network. Occasionally other sports events at same time mean other NBC owned channels may show EPL. They also get some games in 4K - but those are always the same as the UK offering. Quote:

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
I don’t think they’ve (yet) shown a 4K game.
|
Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
There are usually 2-3 4K games each week in the US - but none on Peacock. Peacock have only recently started live 4K sport(device dependent).
Fox are showing every Women's World Cup game in 4K/HDR with 5.1 audio. BBC not providing anything in 4K from the event - ITV still not heard of 5.1 audio. Quote:

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
I'm not sure 5.1 audio is that important from a football match. :)

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
It usually means you can turn off the commentary - but the difference is quite noticable when switch back to regular stero.
ITV not doing 5.1 is far more than just football. Quote:
