Everyone skips the ads anyway lol - Instead of pressing the play button at the right time during recordings, it will just be a one button "SKIP" :-)

You are right about the fact that you don't need VM to access Netflix, but I would be very surprised if the majority of VM subscribers did not have access to it by other means (apart from their computers, of course). I do believe that more streaming services should be added to the Tivo - having everything on one box is very useful for most people. |

Or a samsung TV, I can't think of any streaming service that isn't on it, it even has ITV Player.

My new TV will be a dumb one i think, Samsung servers seem to go down sometimes and that kills all the streaming until they fix it. |

Virgin sources say that Lifetime HD will launch tomorrow (no channel number confirm) and Fox will be moving permanently from L to M+ from Tomorrow as well.

Device-wise, a combination of Amazon and a Now TV box probably gives you the most catch-up services for your bucks. With Now TV covering the UK PSBs, Now TV and Sky Store. And Amazon covering Prime, Netflix, Mubi and Curzon. (I appreciate that Amazon has iPlayer, Demand 5 and STVPlayer.) |
