Most people had assumed on here including myself, that sky sports interactive would have turned up the same time as the sky sports HD channels,but it appears it has been delayed but hey i have been waiting so long for it that whats another few months LOL.:D

Personally, even though I benefit from being a SS subcriber through Virgin and will take the SS1 & 2 HD offering as well, I think it was wrong that SKY were made to lower it's wholesale price of it's HD SS 1&2 service. Sky buy the rights to the sporting events by the normal tendering process, and therefore should be allowed to sell at a price that it sees as 'business sense' value to them.

Put it this way, how would anyone like some big organisation telling them how much they have to sell their car for?

BT were originally a monopoly, the only provider....but then the market was opened to other competitors to be allowed to offer services where they couldn't before and this was the same with Royal Mail, they were not made to offer their services to other competitors. Sky do NOT have a monopoly...they tendered for the rights as could the BBC, ITV, and any other broadcaster. Your comparison just sank I'm afraid.

I have just found out that Virgin Media plan to launch Sky Sports and Movies HD on the 2nd August with possibly pre ordering from the 19th July.

There will be an extra charge for this service but still no prices as yet.
