Trying to force the Liebherr's hand.

I'm not sure this is wise as the family do not share the late Markus' love of football and Southampton.

It is possible they could pull out, but that would go against his wishes for his estate.

Needs to be sorted quickly for player movements etc.

Ashley did it because newcastle get more money if they place higher (circa £6m available). So good business sense.

equally it gives him good PR, and might get the players trying harder (to help get the money for the backroom staff).

That does make it more interesting, and a bit harder for Arsenal

Wow you hold quite a lot of bitterness. It's just a game. Did Wenger steal a girlfriend of yours or something? :erm:

Anyway very concerned about today. Newcastle will play with freedom considering they're no longer in any danger and will be up for the game it seems. Arsenal have had an entire week of people telling them that they were done after the Wigan game which is very far from the truth. Maybe Europa League will push the club to buy the players needed for next year, always that.

Come on Arsenal. One last time.

13 years?! From what? It's just a game. If Spurs finish above Arsenal today I'll be disappointed and probably moody for a week or two but it wouldn't take me over 13 years to get over it.

At least last year the game wasn't on TV so I can try and ignore it. Albeit that didn't go too well. :erm: Unless Arsenal score loads and Newcastle get a player sent off I will not have a nice afternoon.

Not seen it, but reports saying it wasn't a dive, but should have been a red.

any views from others?

Well we better do a LOT better in the 2nd half. Awful performance so far. Do they not understand what is at stake here or are they simply not able to cope with the pressure. Are Newcastle going to run out of energy? They're all over the place!
