Does anyone know when the UKTV carriage contract is up? I'm trying to work out when/if we will get Yesterdsy HD as it's started on Sky.

The last publicly known carriage deal between VM and UKTV was in August 2018 (when the channels returned after being removed in July 2018), but as this may have been renewed this year (when multiple UKTV channels were made HD-only) it could be several years until the two companies negotiate again.

We had 2 tivos now upgraded, one in the living room and the other in my son's bedroom, if recording something downstairs he can't record it to his boxes well since I'm already recording it. Some might think this isn't an issue but if I watch it then delete it when not knowing he wanted to watch it too there is no option to recover the show.

This is one of many issues and am going to fight to get my 2 tivos back if I can.

You do have the option to create profiles and a watchlist, which will enable you to track how much you've seen on one box and how much on the other, having set up your profiles. You can also delete a watchlist on one box without it affecting another.

As some of you may know Sky UK runs COMCAST channels for them in the UK due to Brexit (Sky is owned by Comcast as of 2019):

Universal Channel did become Sky Comedy in 2020.

Here is a latest I have been given by my sources on E! and Movies 24 on what may happen to them.

*My sources says Sky is still on "borderline" on what to do with Movies 24.
*My sources say E! is set to be revamped.

Information was right at time of posting.

Can't see our version of E! lasting much longer. After closing the channel in other countries at the end of this year, I think it will close rather than be revamped in the UK too.

I feel Virgin and UKTV may has signed a new deal early this year before UKTV reveal Yesterday HD was set to launch on Astra UK.

Due to W, Dave, Ailbi and Eden SD Channels being axe from Virgin on June 30th 2022.

https://mediaboyblog.blogspot.com/20...a-uk.html#more

But Astra UK viewers cant watch Eden in HD.

The article states such a closure won’t happen. WBD only merged Cartoon Network Studios and WB Animation.

WBD DO own all the ex Warner Media Channels re: Cartoon Network but WBD is still to tell OFCOM to update their web site.

Or they could just continue to license using minor subsidiary company names indefinitely, which seems to be convenient.

The Times web site is reporting that Amazon Prime will step away from televising tennis in the UK at the end of 2023.

The report say the digital giant is not in the running for the fresh round of ATP and WTA rights.

Report say Sky Sports (soon to confirm a US Open deal) and unnamed broadcasters are said to be interested.

Hmmm! they can't have info slates on 200-203 informing of any changes and also move the actual channels into those slots. Unless the are moved in stages, in which case they could just change the info slates at each stage. Keep an eye on TS 514 on digitalbitrate.com, maybe the slates will show up on there before they go live.
