Got to admit when I got Tivo installed bout 6 months ago I thought it was a crock of dung, but must admit prefer it to HD box I had previously. Great for finding stuff that would have passed me by previously. Looks like i was wrong in thinking it was an overhyped hunk of junk.

TiVo blows me away sometimes, finding upcoming shows when recordings clash, Spotify, searching and still cant get my head round how my mobile controls YouTube on TiVo!

I see that TIVO have said that they are going to upgrade the screens on the US version of the box this Autumn, so that the equivalent of the Series Links and Recordings Screens are going to be upgraded to a HD version.

What are the chances that Virgin will upgrade their rubbish SD screens in the near future?

Quite a good chance I would think, it's not as if they're busy launching channels ;)

It'll happen as the VM TiVo is based on the core TiVo code. Also some of the HD screen stuff has gone the other way - the HD EPG and Mini Guide were on VM TiVo before the US one

I hope they do come to VM as I really miss the mini screen when going those SD screens.

Hopefully there will be a way to keep the mini screen there when the Series link screen is processing priority changes you have made; it takes a very long time and the Tivo is unsuable whilst it's doing it. I've got into the habit of switching over to my HTPC while it's processing the changes because it takes so long.
