£10.95 is pretty steep to watch Jamie McDonnell, especially when the show is going head to head with Ricky Burns vs Jose Gonzalez on SKY Sports. I think this might be the lowest selling British PPV of all time! McDonnell simply isn't known well enough outwith die hard boxing fans.

Begs the question how did this end up as a PPV:confused:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/oth...-monopoly.html

"Promoter Dennis Hobson believes that Sky Sports’ refusal to deal with anyone but Matchroom Sport is “crippling” the sport in this country and has described their partnership as “akin to a monopoly”.

"Elsewhere, Channel 5 released a statement two weeks ago in which it stated there would be no boxing “for the time being”.

"“We will talk to BoxNation, the boxing subscription channel, too, but if I have to, I’ll film the fight myself, and put it on Primetime, a pay-per-view channel on Sky.”

It'll be on BT and SKY, with negotiations with Virgin ongoing. Many Virgin customers on BT's Twitter page asking what is happening with Virgin Media. Virgin did reply with the following:

"We've not forgotten about you but nothing's been agreed yet. Check here http://virg.in/BTSport for the latest on this"

Wow! Lebedev Vs. Jones was a crazy fight. Check out the state of Lebedev's face!

https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2013/05/31.jpg

Believe it or not, the referee did not stop the fight even though Lebedev's face was becoming more and more like the elephant mans!

I thought the Prizefighter on Sky last night was one of the poorest, still the Froch/Kessler bill should be a good one next week...

Prizefighter has run it's course. Last nights was poor. The fans in York Hall hardly made a sound. Matchroom put about 6 Prizefighters on per year. I'd much rather they use the dates for guys lower down the pecking order in their stable to fight for British, Commonwealth and European titles.

Froch Vs. Kessler should be good however for whatever reason I've not really been bitten by the bug for this one. Usually I'm buzzing weeks in advance for big British fights but I'm passive about this one. I'm not even sure if I'll buy the event yet. I'm sure the week long promo shows on SKY Sports will sway my mind!

Froch VS Kessler on Virgin Media.

Virgin Media are not broadcasting the right information (V and V+ Boxes Channel 0.)

The boxing will not be shown until Wednesday at 5pm and will end at 10pm on Sunday night.

Info was found on my Ex-Sky box tonight as Sky Box Office showing an movie from midnight on Sunday on the stream that Sky are using to broadcast the Boxing.
